Students will prepare a policy brief containing a recommendation for a policy reform they think our next U.S. president should push to legislation, written in the form of a letter. The chosen topic is abortion given the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The brief should contain two components: (1) A 5-page double spaced written report explaining the background and the need for policy reform, including at least 2 charts with supporting data (the 5 page requirement can include your charts but it excludes the bibliography); and (2) A PowerPoint presentation with 10-12 slides summarizing the key points in the report and in the data. You may create your own original charts or copy and paste them from reputable sources, with proper citation.
